Dussehra
Dussehra & Ashwa Pooja is a ritual performed to honor the horse, which is revered as a symbol of royalty, power, prosperity, strength, & wealth. This special Pooja performed for the charismatic & athletic animal horse can grant immense blessings for a prosperous & blissful life. The planet Sun is associated with the horse & Ashwa Pooja invokes the blessings of horses, which are considered the vehicle of the King of planets, the Sun.
At the Amateur Riders Club Ashwa Pooja id performed on Dussehra Day with great pomp and marry. All the horses are worshipped garland and feed jaggery in the morning. This is followed by a fancy dress competition for both horses & riders.
